The artist

Periplexis_Konstantinos_Chronopoulos

Konstantinos Chronopoulos was born in Athens in 1988. He grew up under the strong artistic influence of his mother, an acclaimed sculptor and painter, that introduced him to the world of art.

Throughout his civil engineering studies his inclination toward the arts accompanied him while he was exposed to the colors and textures of raw building materials.

The discovery of binding wire was a pivotal moment for the artist as it gave him a tool that he could twist, bend, and wrap around itself in order to conjure his own emotions. soon he transitioned from steel to bronze and copper in order to experiment with more challenging concepts that allowed him a wider spectrum of expression.

The artist draws inspiration from every aspect of life. The power of nature through animals, the timeless elegance of greek mythology, the abstract representation of fear, pain, and anguish of the human condition.

Each sculpture is unique and uses a single unbroken strand of wire, signifying the path between beginning and end.
